  OK, SpecOps, this is just illogical - have you thought through the scenarios?
  
  First, if the French did it, or if they employed a third party to do it, what are the chances that the trail will not lead back to them? Virtually nil. If the cash trail through hawalas can already be traced (albeit with some difficulty), do you honestly think that the French would take such a chance, especially since they would already know that bombing the public transport system at peak hour would definitely cause massive casualties?
  
  Second, you've forgotten to consider the aftermath of the Rainbow Warrior bombing. Do you remember how many heads rolled throughout the halls of French government for that screw-up? Do you honestly think they would be as stupid as to take that chance again, especially over something like the Games?
  
  Third, you've also forgotten to consider that when a city hosts the games, it's more for prestige than real profit - breaking even is par for the course, and it's not a given thing that hosting the games will bring huge amounts of money in, even before you count the overheads they have to put in to get the city ready. To try sparking a war over losing an Olympic bid is a ridiculous premise, even for people as emotional as the French.
  
  Where does Greenpeace come into the picture? Now you're really reaching. The G8 is currently meeting to discuss WRITING OFF THE DEBTS OF THE AFRICAN NATIONS. What does that have to do with Greenpeace? On the other hand, writing off those huge debts is going to help ease relations between the G8 nations and the African countries affected, and that's bad news for terrorists who are looking to these African countries as recruitment centres.
  
  Look, I don't mind you using your imagination and trying to think out of the box. However, if you're going to come up with something, please make sure that it doesn't end up looking ludicrous when placed next to the facts.

  even if the French wanna sabo they also dun have the time, when left between Paris and London, the most they have is 24hrs....they sure have alot of manpower and superb means of logistic support and not forgetting they can actually pre-empt they will end up in the final round and even further pre-empt their opponent is London too....

  Well, its not a surprise actually. The UK govt has already been warning its citizens that such an attack in UK was inevitable. Hence, on 30th May, UK's MI5 had already completed plans for a shift in headquarters should a terrorist attack occur in London. No doubt the plan has been put into action, and MI5 HQ relocated.
  
  They knew it was coming, they just didn't know when.
  
  Think about it.

  London : Hit.

  otoh, do not forget that the UK underwent many bombing and terror campaigns for 2-3 decades from the various Irish terrorist groups, chief among them being the IRA, London being hit many times over.
  
  Do not forget the Lockerbie bombing either.
  
  The UK is probably one of the most experienced nations in the world to combat and deal with terrorism.
