USS Nimitz acted dangerously.
I remember a US sub emerged to surface at a very sharp angle and high speed to impress politicians/high ranking officials on board.
Or Nimitz in a ex. ?Any info?What if it capsized?

nothing wrong with that what....bridge on starboard means cannot turn to port? that pic was taken during sea trials...

The source of the claim is from the Chinese internet forum Sina.com. That forum is known for its anti-American (or anti-anything that is not sympathetic to Beijing!
)
In short, that type of sharp manoeuvre is common for any ship that is on trials. As the Nimitz only recently completed its refueling of its nuclear reactors cum some refurbishment (?), it is naturally for the USN to subject the newly-charged carrier for some test before re-introducing into the Fleet.
Therefore, any pics of any US airborne or naval craft that shows it in some 'dangerous moves' is easilly hijacked by such forums like Sina who will take every opportunity to blast the US!
Why? To show that the PLA is an army that acts 'professionally' and 'respectfully' (ironically this is the same army that massacred and crushed its unarmed civilians in 1989)
in contrasts with the US military.
You guys should read the posts at Sina.com, full of xenophobia sentiments and nationalistic comments! -

Sina.com = the only outlet for repressed PRC nationals who cannot yell against their govt, so they let their steam off against the USA.

As a layman like me,i will say the act was rare,if not dangerous.
wat they mean ,in this essay,is dangerous to the ship,not to PRC.

if the aircraft carrier can't survive that . . . .the us navy should seriously consider full retirement of their carrier fleet . . .
That is just a normal SOP after an engine refit or initial test run of the carrier. Probably 99.9% of all naval vessels will go through these series of test runs.
