SINGAPORE - What would you do if you could be Singapore's Prime Minister for 12 hours?
That's the question being posed to Singaporeans keen to attend this year's National Day Rally on Aug 21.
In a post on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's Facebook page on Wednesday (July 27) morning, the Prime Minister's Office team said the best answers - in 50 words or less - will receive invites to the rally as Mr Lee's social media guests.
Mr Lee is holding the rally, viewed as the most important political speech of the year, at ITE College Central. It will start at 6.45pm.
Here is how you can take part:
- Post your response on social media (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram)
- Tag it #InviteMeToNDR
- E-mail the link or screenshot with your full name and IC number to: [email protected] (make sure that the post is public!)
The deadline for entries is this Sunday (July 31).
based on past year rallies, this year rally confirm got the following:
1. announce new development in dunno which part of Singapore.
2. announce new healthcare initiative.
3. recognise low-income people.
4. recognise students who excel in their studies and CCA.
5. talk about other countries and how we can follow their footsteps.
6. talk about security, and possibly announce new measures to strengthen our security.
7. talk about our economy, and possibly announce new initiatives.
8. talk about our birth rate, and possibly announce new incentives.
9. talk about transport.
10. talk about the elderly people, and possibly announce new initiatives to help them.
also, this year's rally will definitely talk about Joseph Schooling.
