For anything else that would not affect the KPIs, mostly they wouldn't care. I mean, the aura I've gotten from the ministries and their agencies: you have to help us achieve the nice statistics...
While they can keep saying sgians are picky about work choices, I dare say their agenda is that "sgians are not helping to make our employment statistics looks nicer"
For hospitals you can't expect them to say "Don't go hospital for trivial reasons, our hospitals are already crowded enough."

the problem with our government hospitals is that there are fewer nurses per 100 patients, burmese nurses are more submissive, PRC nurses have learnt from the singaporean nurses, when all dept heads sleep, they are in charge!

This has been expected for some time and the minister knew all along the hospitals will get more crowded. The decision to delay building hospitals was because of the spike in construction costs just before the economic crisis, in part due to the IR construction. He was hoping for costs to come down before building the hospitals or the costs will have to be transferred to patients. Of course this means the hospitals will get crowded and patients will have to wait....
Singaporeans have to decide what we want. If you want cheap healthcare, you have to sacrifice something, whether it be waiting times or quality of doctors or type of medicine. You cannot have your cake and eat it..

Seems like the Hell Minister is good in apologising only, anything goes wrong, just apologise will do, maybe this is one of his major job scope.
Well, at least the Hell minister notice the shortfall as a honest mistake with a honest apology. As far as i travelled, i can said that our hell system is still one of the best.
