The degree that we are able to post here peacefully in our wonderful office or home with cool airconditioning, nice snacks and drinks served by maids or subordinates, he should get a reward, as for statue, I think it is contracted out to North korea, they are good in making statue. The Lifetime award given to our very own Robert Mugabe is a useless one.
It's not by the U S Government but by 'The American - Asean Business Council'.

Why was the ceremony held in Washington when it could have been held in Singapore ??
It's all staged managed for Singaporean eyes and that is why you don't find a mention of it in any reputable foreign / regional presses.

I won't be surprised if all the money spent on this hullabaloo, including the big dinner and flying in of his old cronies like Kissinger, Shultz etc.. came from a secret fund of the Singapore Government.
