It's better for him to refuse to accept it than getting the shame of actually accepting it.
Why should there be any "shame of actually accepting" the Nobel Prize awarded by the ‘Nobel Committee’ (*1) - when this committee is formed by a group of people known for their astute judgment ?
The Nobel Committee said Obama was being honored for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”
In its statement explaining its decision, the Nobel Committee focused on Obama’s diplomacy. The president has said the U.S. should be willing to engage with allies and opponents, and he was criticized during the 2008 campaign for saying he would meet with the leaders of nations such as Iran and Cuba.
“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said. “His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population.”
The committee mentioned Obama's vision of “a world without nuclear weapons” and cited his support for solving problems through the United Nations and other international institutions.
“Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play,” it said.
“Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts.”
The committee also wrote of the U.S. now playing a “more constructive role” in the climate change debate.
If at all, Obama had humbly acknowledged and said stated that -
he did not feel like he deserved to be in the company of past winners, and that he does not view the prize “as a recognition of my own accomplishments.”
He also viewed the award as “a call to action” to continue to confront global issues like climate change, nuclear proliferation and the ongoing strife between Israelis and Palestinians.
If there are any political objective in the actions of the Nobel Committee - if any exist - it will be to encourage Obama to fulfill the hopes of so many people across the globe, for him to secure peace and prosperity for all the communities in this World.

Bizarro Peace Prize Awarded to Obama
By Justin Raimondo
Let’s say you’re the President of the United States — okay? And you’re on the brink of escalating what promises to be a wider, more intense war than that which George W. Bush launched in Iraq. You’ve already sent in reinforcements, but you’re undecided about just how many more troops you’re going to send to Afghanistan – could be 20,000, could be 40,000, or even 60,000. But, in any case, you’ve ruled out withdrawal and diplomacy: the only option you have left is more war.
In addition, you’re moving – slowly but surely – toward full-scale involvement in Pakistan, where your drones are daily wreaking death and destruction on innocent civilians, and destabilizing a government that is increasingly hostile to your machinations – even though you’re bribing them with billions that never reach their ostensible beneficiaries and only serve to fatten the purses of your Pakistani sock-puppets.
On top of that, you’ve just told the Palestinians that they must live with Israeli “settlements” and forced the UN to ignore an official report detailing the killing of thousands of innocent men, women, and children by IDF forces armed by the US.
On top of that, you’re pushing through Congress a record military spending bill that keeps the US spending more than the top 45 nations on earth combined on weapons and methods of war.
So, naturally, as a reward for all your strenuous efforts on behalf of keeping the world a place that is less safe, less stable, and less worth living in than at any time since the outbreak of World War II, you are bestowed with – yes, that’s right, the Nobel Peace Prize. This, however, isn’t just any Nobel Peace Prize – oh no It’s a Bizarro Peace Prize – the natural result of us having slipped through a crack in the space-time continuum, and landed in a world where up is down, right is left, and war is peace – Bizarro World!
For years – ever since the 9/11 terrorist attacks – I’ve been saying that the sheer force of the explosions that sent us hurtling into a nightmare world of color-coded terrorist alerts and hunts for “weapons of mass destruction,” must have ripped a hole in the very fabric of reality. So that, today, we’re living in an alternate universe, where the laws of logic and reason are repealed – Bizarro World.
For a while there I thought we might be heading back toward reality, or at least some more rational version of it, and that what I call the Bizarro Effect might be wearing off. However, this morning’s shocker – the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to an American president about to launch a decades-long military occupation, even as he promises (so far to little effect) to bring another occupation to an end — has dashed that hope beyond redemption.
And as if to underscore the fact that we are still living in the world we woke up to on September 11, 2001, a top official of the Democratic National Committee – communications director Brad Woodhouse – has issued the following statement in response to guffaws from the peanut gallery:
“The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists – the Taliban and Hamas this morning – in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize.”
As Obama prepares for war, and yet more war, anyone who questions this is a terrorist – and peace be with you, my son.

Must also mention that one of the bloodiest wars after 1945 was the Iran-Iraq war lah - one million casualties
90% of world conflicts involved muslims. 11 million muslims died in those conflicts.
The statistics of muslims killing muslims is staggering - approximately 90% of 11 million dead muslims were slaughtered by fellow muslims.

Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize! Hell freezes over!
http://joshfulton.blogspot.com/2009/10/obama-wins-nobel-peace-prize-hell_10.html
Obama has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, having been nominated for it just two weeks into his Presidency.
Let's take a look at some of the reaction.
Via CNN:
The announcement came as a surprise — Obama’s name had not been mentioned among front-runners — and the roomful of reporters in Oslo, Norway, gasped when he was named. (I'm sure it was out of "respect.")
And how will it be used?
Via Washington Post:
Winning the Nobel Prize will allow Obama to go to his divided Democratic caucus and make the case far more forcefully that the time is now to stay united behind him on Afghanistan.
Uch. Can you get any
more disgusting? A peace prize being used to justify an expanded war
into Afghanistan. By the way, according to National Security Advisor
Jim Jones, Afghanistan has less than 100 Al Qaeda in it. (What?)
Oh,
and here's a picture from Afghanistan, the likes of which we don't
typically see in America, you know, so as to not distract from the war
effort.
Well, this award is largely for what Obama might do. Let's take a look at what he has done:
* War mongered against Iran, even
though he has known about this facility for at least a year, and has
known of all sensitive materials that were moved into it for at least 6
months.
* Been hypocritical on torture: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
* Expanded the war in Afghanistan.
* Supported a fraudulent election in Afghanstian, in which Karzai, used the assistance of a one of the country's "most notorious militia leaders" to gain support.
* Says he will leave up to 50,000 troops in Iraq even after "ending military operations."
* Extended Blackwater's (aka Xe's) military contracts, Blackwater which has gone virtually unaccountable for its crimes.
* Expanded the use of military contractors.
* Helped give us an annual $1.4 trillion deficit, 3 times larger than the previous largest annual deficit.
* Hypocritical on the Defense of Marriage Act and Don't Ask Don't Tell.
* Says he does not need Congressional authority to hold detainees indefinitely.
* Continues to spy on peace groups through "fusion centers."
* Issued signing statements, meaning that he will selectively choose to enforce parts of a law.
* Withdrew support for a bill to force financial firms to offer at least some "plain vanilla" products.
* Reappointed Bernanke, who espouses the same easy credit policies of Greenspan.
* Proposes
to make the Fed a "super-regulator" when they are not equipped for such
a job, and did not regulate adequately in the lead up to the financial
crisis.
* Allows the Fed to monetize more debt, against the charter of the Fed, and partake in "quantitative easing."
* Will not release White House visitor logs in a transparent fashion.
* Supports swine flu propaganda and police state measures associated with it, including the mandatory vaccination of 1.4 million Americans in the military.
* Allows
the Federal Housing Authority, which provides nearly 40% of all
mortgages, to go down the same road of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
* Attempts to protect ATT from prosecution by saying they are an "intra-governmental" agency.
* Flip-flopped on whether he thinks journalist should be forced to reveal sources. He now thinks they should.
* Continues to support Colombian military government, and has refused to let a Colombian civil rights advocate enter the country.
* Supports the growing trend of police militarization.
* Has the American tax payer on the hook for up to $23.7 trillion in stimulus and bailouts, while the unemployment rate continues to rise.
* Continues to use misleading unemployement figures.
* Misrepresents the facts, 2, 3, and costs, 2, 3, of Health Care/Insurance bill, including the $80 billion in savings from the insurance industry he so highly touted.
* Allows
military to "award arms globocorp General Dynamics a $10m contract to
set up a network of psychological-warfare "influence websites"
supporting the Global War On Terror."
* Allows staff to collect web users' data without notice, and use it for questionable purposes.
* Pushed to continue provisions from the Patriot Act, including the "Lone Wolf" provision.
* Has
only attempted to "suspend" $30 million in aid for the Honduran
military government that overthrew democratically-elected President
Zelaya, when they could withhold $150 million.
* Allows SEC
inactivity even though their lack of oversight of the financial
industry is one of the main things that has gotten us in this mess: 1, 2, 3, 4
* Has continued "extraordinary rendition."
* Supports the President having control of the internet in case of an "emergency."
* Held a phone conference with 1,000 Rabbis to try to get them to support his health care plan during Rosh Hashanah services.
* Won't show contract given to company to build website to increase transparency of the bailout.
* Reversed pledge to renegotiate NAFTA.
* Waited until August to finalize TARP lobbying rules.
* Has been uncooperative with attempts to make his adminstration more transparent, 2.
* Claims that the U.S. Government is completely immune from litigation for illegal spying.
* Suggested that veterans should use their own private insurance to pay for injuries incurred in the line of duty.
* Pushed for bailout while the Democratic Presidential candidate.
* Supports Bush's plan of school privitization.
* Refuses to follow through on campaign promise to fund 20 different projects based on the Harlem Children's Zone, despite the fact that Education Secretary controls over $5 billion in funds, the most ever for an Education Secretary.
* Broke campaign promise of allowing five days of public comment before signing a bill.
* Appointee
Rahm Emmanuel attempted to intimidate Senator John Kyl with the threat
of federal stimulus money being withheld from his state.
* Appointee
Rahm Emmanuel thinks US citizens on the No-Fly List should not be able
to own guns, despite the fact that the ACLU estimates that over
1,000,000 Americans are on the No-Fly List.
* Appointee Eric Holder helped negotiate a settlement on behalf of Chiquita Brands in a Colombian death squad case, and
also filed an amicus brief on behalf of the state in DC vs Heller, in
which the state tried to argue that individuals did not have a right to
gun ownership.
* Appointed former chief Monsanto lobbyist to head the FDA.
* Worked in close conjunction with Phrma lobbyist Billy Tauzin on health care legislation.
* Continues to allow 2/3rds of US corportations to avoid paying income tax.
* Has
attended weekly prayer meeting of fascist political lobbying group "The
Family," as has his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who describes Family leader Doug Coe as a "genuinely loving spiritual mentor."
* Supported
FISA bill that "allows the President to grab all incoming and outgoing
international communications without a warrant."
Hope and Change! Hope and Change!
Yasser Arafat got the prize in 1994 for killing Jews, and continued killing Jews after that.
Muslims still kill fellow muslims, besides killing kuffar.
90% of world conflicts involving muslims inflicted 11 million muslim casualties, of which 90% of the 11 million dead muslims were killed by fellow muslims.
Nobel Peace prize should go to Osama. For uniting the world against tyranny. lol

In that case, USA should start first by including itself in its own State Department human rights report.
It has no rights complaining about the authoritarian societies of other countries when it has the largest percentage of its own citizens imprisoned.
It has no rights insisting that other countries let their banks fail when it did not.
It has no rights complaining about Iran supporting terrorisms in the Middle East when it did the same against the Soviet Union.
It wants Iran's nuclear facilities to be opened to international weapons inspectors but does not allow the same thing in its own country.
This is an open forum, it's just discussion and doesn't have any policy setting powers.
Find it funny that we can criticize all we want about China and Singapore but somehow it's hands off for America?

To those who voted for Obama, they were just putting their hope on him,
To those who didn't vote for him, they are still watching how he perform,
To those who never get to vote, but already say he is a star, they are just po lan pah!

Who Killed Arafat and Why?
Arafat was dying of Aids. Why assassinate him?
Wouldn't it be better to have had Arafat discredited as a homosexual?
Lt.-Gen. Ion Pacepa was the deputy chief of Romania's intelligence service under Communist dictator Nicola Ceausescu.
In his memoir "Red Horizons", Pacepa relates a 1978 conversation with the general assigned to teach Arafat and the PLO techniques to deceive the West into granting the organization recognition. The general told him about Arafat’s nightly relations with his young male bodyguards and multiple partners. “Beginning with his teacher when he was a teen-ager and ending with his current bodyguards. After reading the report, I felt a compulsion to take a shower whenever I had been kissed by Arafat, or even just shaken his hand," Pacepa wrote.
Excerpts from the memoir' Red Horizons':
"I just called the microphone monitoring center to ask about the 'Fedayee,'" Arafat's code name, explained Munteaunu. "After the meeting with the Comrade, he went directly to the guest house and had dinner. At this very moment, the 'Fedayee' is in his bedroom making love to his bodyguard. The one I knew was his latest lover. He's playing tiger again. The officer monitoring his microphones connected me live with the bedroom, and the squawling almost broke my eardrums. Arafat was roaring like a tiger, and his lover yelping like a hyena." hee...
