Woei, that handsome Uncle is oxford trained ok, mak lai lai hor.. I think in the end the peoples of Thailand have to decide for themselve who they want and what they want. In the first place, no leader is perfect, but if they can balance the good and bad points and then trash it out peacefully, i believe there will be a point where peoples see what they actually want, at the moment, most are blind following the blind and killing the blind.
As an outsider perspective, I am quite neutral about it, but as I gathered and talked with some of my thais gals and guys here, they dun even give a damn on who is ruling, so i forseen that maybe only half of the thai citizens are interesting in their own govt, the rest are not interested at all.
As the chinese says "One mountain cannot hold 2 Tigers", that is true in life in way of Asian politics, even here, we seen the domination of one govt only, for I alway thot that more brain is better than one, but not the case in culture of Asian Politics. Of course I look forward to thailand red and yellow unity whereby the handsome join hands with Thaksin to bring Thailand a truely Land of a thousand Smiles, but currently, it is a Land of a thousand Problems
This page lacks something... hmmmm oh yes, now I remember....
OK, gentle reminder to fellow forumners, this one is IMH fixated and proven to be insanely delusional.

There is no need to remind people that you are insane.
Khun Andrew / Nong Angel,
I always enjoy seeing the both of you "da qing ma qiao"... 555.
Oxford trained only mah.. I am SAF/NUS/NTU trained, then worked in Malaysia, Taiwan, China, India, Pakistan, and now Thailand. I will probably retire in Bangkok.. so I sincerely wish that peace will come to Thailand... I wont be back in Singapore for sure... In Thailand, even if I am not elite, at least I am not a lesser mortal either.
I dont like the handsome guy because I feel he get to where he is because he was born to it. Even his name means "privileged" in Thai. He is considered clean in Thai politics because there are others in his party who do the not-so-clean work. The head of the Democrat Party always has a clean image. Still I wish him success for the good of the country.
Thaksin has done some good things too in the past, but he has crossed the line. As he often told everyone, he would wash his hands from politics. If he can really do as he said, maybe there will be peace.
Unfortunately, there are more than two tigers in the same mountain...the so-called Traitor, the Invisible Hand, the Master and his Three Disciples (Monkey, Piggy, Sandy.. Piggy, or rather Piggy's car, was recently riddled with 100 bullets)... there are more twists and turns here than the simple two-tier SuperImmortal-LesserMortal classes in Singapore. All these tigers are waiting.
At the moment, the Yellows, the Blues and the Greens are united against the Reds.. but cracks are appearing...
In a Democracy, people work together unlike in a dictatorship, the cursed Singapore despot dictates how much public money he should take and how much public money his dogs and cronies should take (apparently never enough!)
If you work in an organisation, you know how difficult it is for a group of people, much less a country, to work together. Abhisit is trying to work with everyone even though he is from a priviledged background. He does not suppress people, he does not suppress the press.
Thaksin, the despot wannabe is trying to disrupt Abhisit's work. He was trying to suppress the press, and put the military and the courts under his direct control instead of letting them be independent.
Thai people should curse Thaksin like Singaporeans should curse the Singapore despot.
