Official age of Adult should be 18 instead of 21

Children (ie 18 to 21) act, work, play, behave, talk and think like young adults today. By 18 yrs, they are studying and practising concepts and subjects that adults usually are familiar with. Furthermore, 18 years old "children" or "boys" are drafted into National Service and perform adult tasks (like shooting a weapon and taking chargeable responsibilities). and oh yes..they are sexually mature, capable of giving birth...eG StandardChart Easisave bank account cannot accept depositers under 21. All those under 21 must go for "Children" account. I wanted to sigh up buy it's sounds wierd for a 19 years old guy to sigh up "Children" account...
And to add on, 16 years olds can engage in sexual intercourse, but in government's view not deemed matured enough to watch R(A) films? Does tat makes sense?
Anyway it's pretty pointless to call 18,19 or 20 years old as "children"? -

My friends overseas at UK is 19 and sound adult. His perception is very mature too. Gosh. 19 in Singapore is just playing dota and shopping..

THE GOD DAMN REASON WHY THE LAW HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 16 YEARS OLD, FOR ENGAGING IN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, ALL U GOD DAMN TEENAGE HAS BEEN keep on DOING IT, so do u want to lock all of them whom have do it before, if the law remain the law it is, 18 years old?
Jesus christ, i think hor, the cinema theater refuse to let you in while attempting to watch (R)21 because u are UNDERAGE. so HOR

If we lower it to 18 as the official age for adulthood, and therefore citizenship, the govt can lose a sizeable number of youths for NS.

About this, I once saw a debate show between people from the gov. and the sec sch students a few years back. A sec sch student asked that exact same question as you and do you know what they answered? Its in human nature to be curious about sex, and its the mindset that counts, IF!!!!!!!!! they blame it, on pornography, then WHY THE HECK, DID THEY WANT TO SURF PORNOGRAPHY IN THE FIRST PLACE, like i said, those teenage can be ignorant at times, they don't know what they are saying, still want to act as if they are adult.

I agree with TS here. When I enlisted, I was below 21. When I was a one-year soldier, I was below 21. When I ORD, I was also below 21.
I still remember when I was in camp listening to the progress package and I realised that I was not eligible for any of those because I was below 21. Yet, I was eligible to be court-martial, to be thrown into DB because I was supposed to be a mature responsible individual.
Perhaps they realised that no single NSF would be voting for a particular political party at that stage of time.
Apparently, the court of law only consider those below the age of 16 to be a juvenile and anyone committing a crime between 16 to 21 will be charged as an adult. Contradictory, Irony or Hypocrisy?
Btw, I still am not 21 yet and I think I have every right to demand that I enjoy the benefits of an adult. -

and if the crime is serious enough, example, if you commit robbery, and you have a record with police, you can be trial as an adult
