Animals can have abnormal or unnatural sex but unfortunately animals can't tell us it is unnatural. -

In the words of Mr. Brown, Singaporeans are mature enough to have casinos (sorry...is integrated resort), but not mature enough to have same sex marriage.

But basically, as long as same sex marriages doesn't hurt anyone, I don't see a reason to make it illegal...nobody (including the government) has a right to prevent others from doing what they want (at least in a democratic society anyway) as long as nobody is harmed in the process. -

This question has been bothering me for quite some time already(in fact quite a few years). I have been telling myself "yes" its their rights, but on the other hand, I can't imagine a child brought up by them. There is a probability that this child will grow up as a homosexual. This is a fact that one can't deny. That is why you find more homos in single sex school too because environment is a major contributor to one's personality.
Right now, our flood gates are open to all FT. If you wish to see sg flooded with homos, go ahead push gov for it. One day, u might even encounter some same sex pple bushing their asses against you purposely. I would say most singaporeans are not ready for it. Some of my friends in fact like to beat up gays.
Looking from human rights' view, "yes" same sex marriage should be allowed in Singapore.
But looking from gov's view, its not time yet. Haven't you wonder why so many big countries are still opposing it? And keep in mind that most of these countries emphasize on human rights.
Don't just say yes to everything that activists brought forward. Analyze it thoroughly. And you can't compare this with racism, its 2 different thing. One would promote harmony while the other might spark off some serious social problems(some religions are strongly against same sex marrriage). -
