why did your school "kick you out"? no chance of an appeal? maybe try appealing with your mom - yeah, you gotta let her know and get her support.

Its normal for all Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to expel a student that fails to pass a module after 2 tries since it seems to show you are unable to manage the contents. That has been the same policy regardless whether i was in uni or poly.
my suggestion to you is that talk to your advisor or facilitator. Do something about it. Most probably your parents will be required to see the director.
By the way, you are from which poly?
dude, ite ai mai? higher nitec
Wait... Did TS like the course he is undertaking? Does he have any interest to continue to pursue the course in poly? If appeal to the poly is unsuccessful, probably TS have to go thru' NS first. Take this NS time to think thru' and explore what you like to do in future.
Here is a list taken from WDA website (http://app2.wda.gov.sg/web/Contents/Contents.aspx?ContId=651#anchor5) for your exploration and consideration:
TS give me a very valid reason to mug hard for my studies.. Thanks!
if poly is too hard perhap u can try ITE...and some ITE grads somehow earn more than a diploma holder plus ITE grads seems to have a higher job opportunity nowaday...but of coz, more physical work involved...
The magic word is "appeal". You may need to ask your aprents to go along to schedule an appointment with the dean. If your last effort cannot succeed then it may be lost.
Originally posted by Lostt:Hi, im 19, and i recieved news that i had been kicked out of my poly this morning. This is only my year 1 and i didn't treasure my chance in this poly until too late. I would give anything to be accepted back again, but i guess its hopeless now. Im scared of army and the working world, and my future seems bleak. Im wondering if it is possible to continue my studies at another poly maybe after my army or something. Also, i heard that those who were kicked out by thier poly will not be able to enter another poly or change course anymore. I cant face my mother, cos our family is not well to do, and she is paying for my poly fees with her CPF. I feel so guilty towards her now. Im thinking of saving up during my army and getting a bank loan after that to maybe start a business or something. Please advice me if you can. Thanks!
Easy. Dont get discourage. Good that you feel uncomfortable. Find a temp job, enrol for NS. first. During NS, you can spend 2 years to decide what you want.
It is better in this way because when you get more mature, you understand yourself better. Alot of people took the wrong course and ended up graduated but not doing what he studied before.

Lokey, you are right man.... I feel like doing pastry & baking course if time can reverse. Studied engineering after my 'O's and ended up in engineering work, which gives 0 satisfaction but just for the sake of livelihood.
and engineering is just another lowly paid profession.
Thanks for all the comments. In reply to your ques, im in tp studying engineering. The core subject i failed was circuit analysis cos i had this mentality from sec sch that i'll flunk anything concerning circuits. Now, i dont really mind it. My school consellor said there is a chance at a remedy, and im now waiting for the results. If i am succesful, i will definitely go to school everyday. So, thanks for all your advices! I have really woken up now, and whatever i do next in life, i will be serious about it andd give it my all. Thanks
Tell you what. Go register for Private candidate for A Levels. And study freaking hard for it. Get good results and go to Uni. Since you have nothing to do now. Pick up books and mug at the library. Textbooks or anything. Get notes from your friends or something like that.
